I think that Rammstein are just money hungry so they will only go to the places where they know they can make a decent profit. I don't they have any consideration for the fans at all. I have totally lost all faith in Rammstein as a band and it is really disappointing to say that because they are the band that opened me up to heavy metal and other such non-mainstream music.

I think Rammstein is a band who needs to be money hungry when it comes to touring and such. Their shows cost an awful lot of money (tens of thousands of dollars a night), so they need to make it back somehow. They aren't terribly rich, unlike bands like Motley Crue or the Rolling Stones who only have to bring out an album every 5 years to keep their bank account in the 7 figure mark. Either way, the best thing we can do is wait and see.

But do Rammstein HAVE to spend that much money on their pyrotechnics? Sure they look freaking awesome but maybe they could cut some of the less necessary effects or even put on smaller shows pyrotechnic wise so they CAN come down here. There are plenty of ways that they can get here, I think they just don't want to put in the effort. We as fans give and give and get shit all back.

please, you say that now, but how many people would be out for blood if they stoped the pyro? the appeal of a rammstein show, which draws in flocks of people, is not so much the music but rather the ENTIRE package. the pyro, the antics, the music. take away one of those elemants(say, the pyro) and youre left with just a regular old concert, a cd being played live...why bother?

rammstein is smart, they know that to entice people to come to their shows, they need to have something MORE, something that sets them apart from the other dozens of concerts that could be going on that night.

yes, they could get rid of their pyro and save money, but it wouldnt be a rammstein show then, would it? in the long run, they might actually LOSE money doing that, because concert attendance would probably drop drastically.

I don't think that their fans only take shit back. I believe that Rammstein thinks in satisface their fans, and that's the reason of such spectacular shows. I have seen some bands live, and lots of concerts' DVDs, and I can affirm that this guys really give all on stage, they take care of each detail, call it performance, pyro displays, sound, costumes, everything. I believe that no other band can achieve such level. And maybe they don't go on a very big tour, because it's probably that they don't have that energy of the early years. But I don't think they'll disappoint fans in a next tour.

If you are a real fan (as I am, I think) you wouldn't care about the pyro and all the stuff...
If I go to a concert, I do it to listen to the music the band plays, not to see Till getting burned. I don't love them for those things, I love them for their music. I pay to see RAMMSTEIN and listen to RAMMSTEIN'S SONGS...not fire and costumes etc.
Yes, this stuff makes the show more interesting, funny, cool, whatever you want, but I think they should focus more on playing good music and less on special effects.
Must find an equilibration (?_?).

I would be gutted to go to a show and find that there were no pyro effects. It's really essential for a Rammstein concert to have them. The whole point of going to a concert for me is for the atmosphere. It just wouldn't be the same without the lights, the flames and the fireworks.

I'm not saying cut ALL of the pyrotechnics. I'm saying cut down on some so that it makes it possible money wise for them to come to smaller places. As someone said earlier, yeah the pyrotechnics are pretty awesome but I'm there to see the band not to have my eyebrows singed. I like my eyebrows.

Shit, I think all you people have a better chance of Rammy coming to you guys than us. I've pretty much given up on them coming to America. I honestly don't see it happening and I'm not going to hold my breath. That sucks, but whuddya gonna do? :|

@ Henny: If - and this is a very unlikely IF - if they ever come back to Canada - I will bet you practically anything that they'll go back east.

Crap. We get the Stones, U2, Rod Stewart, etc; - even the Police's 20 year reunion's practice sessions (we currently have them running around Vancouver) - but still NO Rammstein :x

we will just have to pick the N. America site that most of us can get to, and have a Rosenrot convention. We still have about a year or so to design the T-shirts.......

@ julieanne and Maga-ram: THAT would be soooooooo amazing, wouldn't it?
The only problem is that Henny wouldn't let me go unless I had a chaperone!
