So I just got back from seeing the movie. I hate to say it but I mucked up the times on the ticket. I was adamant it was for 7.30pm when I booked it but when I got there I realised it was for 7pm. I was already running late because 3 out of 4 entrances to the cinemas were blocked off! So I missed the first 40 minutes of the movie :headwall:

From what I did see, it was pretty good :). Some of the editing was a bit hit or miss, and I hate to say it but the added effects in some parts were a bit... off. But I still rocked out and sang along and had a good laugh at some of the performances! Will definitely buy it on Blu-ray when it comes out

OOOOH IT WAS SOOOO AWESOME!

But in our row there were 3 men and they were very drunk. So they make a lot of noise :zap: We called the staff of the cinema and they gave a warning to the 3 men. But the didnt listen and when Bück dich was on the screen they ruinied the song for me :headwall:

But the rest was awesome!

I've seen the movie yesterday. It's very Akerlund style - if you like ITDW music video, you'll like the movie, too. I'd been in Paris in person so I was very excited to see the result. And I love it - but it isn't classical concert movie as "in America". It's more like a 2 hours long video clip. So a lot of editting and a lot of special effects - nothing for people with epilepsy. I don't like Mutter and Engel because they would be better without anything because the show presentation is so good that any special effects and quick cuts ruin it. People on FB say that it seems as if the band played mechanicaly and without enthusiasm, which definitely wasn't true - the both Paris gigs were super energetic and the best R+ gigs I've ever seen, but I guess it's a bit because of Akerlund's conception - he presents the band as a "super perfect german high engine", like they were some robots, tough guys, so no emotions just pure focus on action.
Anyways I love it and I'll buy BR for sure.

I saw the movie yesterday and it certainly beat my expectations. Before the premiere, I've heard that Akerlund went a little overboard with the special effects, but I must say - I enjoyed most of them! I especially loved "Mutter" performance.
I think that their energy at the concert is captured pretty well, and the sound system was properly done. Good job!
