... Yes, what?

Let's Make a mini travel guide that is up-2-date.
Tell us what you love about the city or region you live in. 5 things.

It can be "common places" or just your favorite places. An amazing cafe, a cool museum, a great place to experience the everyday ambiance of your neighbourhood, favorite flower shop... you decide.

Aaaaaaand go: :D

^ What a great idea! ^_^

In Vancouver, B.C., Canada:

* Stanley Park: Here's just a few attractions: https://www.tripsavvy.com/top-things-to ... er-3371106 and some pics - they speak volumes about how beautiful it is: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=stanley+park+ ... &ia=images

* Capilano Suspension Bridge: https://www.capbridge.com/ aaaaand pics: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=capilano+vanc ... &ia=images I went on this ONCE. Never again. Mind you, some a**holes were SHAKING the bridge...

* Our provincial capital, Victoria (only a short ferry ride to Vancouver Island): https://www.tourismvictoria.com/ ...and some piccies: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=victoria+brit ... &ia=images

* Gastown: http://seegastown.com/ plus - more piccies: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Gastown+briti ... &ia=images The only thing about Gastown is its close proximity to the poorest area known as the Downtown East Side (DTES) - despite the highest concentration of social services agencies (including a "safe injection" site), this is essentially a 'war zone' - junkies shoot up anywhere and everywhere, used syringes are a common sight. I've heard horror stories of tourists' shock when they've accidentally wandered here from Gastown.

* Fort Langley: Yes, a REAL fort! Part of our history: http://www.pc.gc.ca/en/lhn-nhs/bc/langley Here are more pics: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Fort+Langley+ ... &ia=images

Plus, while this didn't occur in Vancouver, I felt compelled to add this delightful tidbit - a video of a Mountie (dressed in the ceremonial Red Serge) - chasing a bear. How much more "Canadian" can you get? Enjoy: http://globalnews.ca/video/3624784/moun ... d-on-video
