We have a good news thread, a bad news thread, and a flip side news thread. Now for a WTF news thread where news articles that make us all go WTF can be placed. To start it off, I found a news article a few hours ago. It's not what everybody would like, but nonetheless, gonna have to start off with it.

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/swedish-woman-accused-having-sex-skeletons-080735296.html?bcmt_s=m#ugccmt-container

Note: if you're not into odd likes and dislikes, don't read the article.

^My friend posted this in his FB feed last night. It was nigh on impossible for me to resist the urge to make jokes revolving around 'a good boning' :rolling: :rolling: :rolling: :rolling: what a strange obsession that is!

Here's one that made me do an instant WTF? 28 people in a MINI COOPER????? HOW??? http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/story?secti ... id=8888413

^ Hence why they should bring shows like You Bet back from the dead. Just get Matthew or Darren as host again, and I bet that THAT would win an award aswell as the traditional You Bet winners' music (failures get the losers' music)

A naked man on top of a statue. Yup - I believe this article would qualify: http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/story/2012 ... d-man.html

^^Definitely a WTF addition! I wonder what (in his mind) the point of his little 'let's sit on the Duke of Cambridge's head butt naked for a while' actually was, or since he's been detained under the mental health act if he really is just a little crazy? I kinda hope he isn't, and that he was making some kind of fantastic point about modern society or something...but it's doubtful! :?

Hurrah! Let's here it for coincidence! :D

We had a bit of a WTF here yesterday morning when we were waked by 5 minor explosions on the nearby freeway. Turns out a truck caught fire, and the tires and gas tank exploded. The WTF part comes later, when we find out in the paper it was one of our State Roadway Assistance vehicles...

"Sorry, can't help you right now, busy exploding." :Wtf2:

^^LOL!!!
True life better than a fiction.

As a side note, all reports about Black Friday in the US and here in Canada gave me a strong WTF kind of feeling. And this morning I read about some 2000 people who were lining up in front of the new IKEA store in Winnipeg from midnight till dawn... In the Canadian cold night... In the Canadian VERY cold night... The world is going nuts.

For IKEA of all things, yeah... Seems WTF enough to me, having had the misfortune to own some of their furniture. NEVER AGAIN!

^I got my bed from IKEA, and a number of other things. Never, ever had a problem with it, all lasting superbly (and the boyfriend and I put the bed through hell, just like any red bloodied couple does 8) ) so I'm surprised at your misfortune!

A pure WTF news piece - http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/2 ... weird-news

SERIOUSLY, WTF?

Prostitution is legal in Switzerland? Didn't know. Other than that, this boxes look like a total libido suppressor to me. I mean, you can get more intimacy and comfort in a public toilet.
And this part here is just brilliant: "With the women right by the sex boxes there is no 'travel time' so they can deal with more customers."
Take that fast-sex industry!
We should start building Love Hotels like the ones in Japan...

@nola - well, we managed to break our couch and one of our nightstands, while our two little tables in the living room were unstable as hell.
I bought all of that for 200$ from a guy who was leaving our apartment building right when we arrived there and our apartment was completely empty, so we desperately needed SOMETHING. So I guess it's a little unfair for me to look the gift horse in the mouth. But he paid full price for them and used them for about 2 years before he had to relocate to some other place in Canada. Later we got a brand new IKEA bookcase which we had to assemble ourselves and it was a pretty tedious procedure with a questionable success. My boss usually comes to us whenever he buys something from IKEA and he's like: "Guys, who wants to assemble my IKEA furniture? Oh, come on, I'll give you 30 $!!!".
Also, I find most of their furniture rather ugly. They resemble this style I call "socialistic realism". The furniture in Bulgaria during the communism era looked like that and since it was all we could get, all apartments looked the same. I'm quite sick of it, really. The funny thing is that here in Canada IKEA is the affordable alternative for graduate students like me. Most of my colleagues own or have owned something made by them. In Bulgaria however their stuff is ridiculously expensive and is regarded as luxurious even though we have much better looking and crafted things in the stores nowadays. Go figure.
We disposed of our IKEA furniture (sans the bookcase) and bought new one from other places two years ago. Which is the reason why we couldn't go to see Rammstein in Montreal back then.

I suppose those boxes are better than just doing it in a car without extra "privacy" but it seems to me they'd be of more use at the local "petting park" for the young... and cars have back windows, even in Switzerland. I'm not sure how it makes it "safer" since if a "john" goes nuts on her she would still be stuck inside his car? :blonde: It sounds to me like that old (normal masculine) BS idea that sex crimes are caused by lack of access, when they are really psychological in nature.
At least since it's the Swiss they will keep good records on the result.

Glad I'm not a hooker OR Swiss.

Erotic zoos and brothels in Germany.
http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/337758
Obviously, bestiality is not illegal in Germany and now some Germans are trying to outlaw it while other Germans are fighting for it. Humanity can be so f***ed up sometimes...
