@ Kettenhund: Hearty congratulations to you and Paul on your Confirmations!

@ Kruspe12: Take care of yourself. Let me know how you are? :tea: :tea:

My day is only starting. Have already been out, walking Bob. It's a gorgeous day - the kind that you don't want to go back home :sun: and get on with your responsibilities. Soon, however, I'll be driving to work - at least it's my "Friday"!

Expensive. Two of my cats are ill. This translates into expensive tests. Paid close to $700 today. My Visa card is screaming. :(

^ Thank you, Ravage

GREAT NEWS! One of my cats is NOT diabetic - the high blood glucose levels can also be a result of stress - and he's an extremely nervous cat, so the trip to the vet's - and all the strangers probably totally freaked him out. The blood tests show no diabetes! :bounce:

And the other cat, Robert (who had lost weight...and I thought it might be cancer) - does NOT have cancer! He's ok! :bounce:

^ So glad to hear your cats are ok! Must be such a welcome relief!

I have a 5 hour round-trip drive for work today... yay :sped: passed a bad truck rollover this morning on the highway. I came past 2 minutes after it happened, before any emergency services even got there! I didn't stop because there was already 9 other cars helping out, and I checked the news afterwards - the driver escaped with only minor head injuries! He ended up on his side and in a tree! Very lucky man

^ Oh it was - very much!  I'm glad that driver came out of that accident in once piece. It's really scary seeing the aftermath of a bad accident and thinking..."What if that had been me? - I hope no one was badly hurt".

A few days ago my boyfriend went on his bike to his work. Its 20 minutes biking away. 10 minutes further he called me and he said that he had an accident with his bike and het thougt that his arm was broken.

So we went to the hospital and they make some x-rays of his arm. The outcome was that he has a fracture in the top of his ellbow and he needs surgury. So he needs to stay in the hospital for one night  In the night he had his surgery. They placed some wire in his ellbow and now he needs minimum 6 weeks of rest, so he can't work :( He hates it and he needs help with a lot of things. Here are some pics that we make in the hospital.

The moment we did'nt know it was broken.

Now we hope that the fracture is healed in 6 weeks and that he can work again :)

I had yesterday an awesome day! My dream is becoming a good allround photographer. Im make a lot photos of animals and nature. Now I had the oppurtunity to come with a proffessional photographer to a festival here in Holland. It was my first festival in my life and I when I arrived there I got a bracelet that I can join the backstage area and join even the Mainstage area! :eee:

So here is a little impression. All the artist are so nice and sometimes they look in the camera 8)

^ What a wonderful and productive opportunity for you, Maureen! I hope you have many more! xx

My first day off after a long week, and I'm so glad to have it! Just finishing a late "lunch" and doing a bit of relaxing. Thankfully the weather isn't as hot as it has been, and later on I'll plant the baby lavender bushes I bought. They'll go in my front yard. I think I read somewhere that bees like them, so if I can also help the bees - why not? :icetea:

^ Oh how those vacations are SO welcome! :D

Busy. Not crazy busy, but consistent and unrelenting. Huge changes at work - a new site is soon to open and all but two staff (where I currently work) has left to go there. I'm one of the two who remain at the old site. The other staff has far more seniority than I but essentially keeps to himself during the shift. *Cough* Lazy *cough cough*. In other words, the poor (newer) staff he's working with pretty much seems to be working on his own. Sure, the senior staff will answer questions, but doesn't go out of his way to support/volunteer help, so it's probably pretty tough for the newer staff.

Not wanting to write a book here, but I've transferred to exclusive dayshifts - QUITE different from afternoons! Lots more "business" calls and such going on. Each day seems to fly by! I'm trying to reach out to the new staff and offer support and advice. I know what it's like to start out and feel nearly overwhelmed.

Started out sh*te, as it is hulk week, but slowly got better. Have also written some more of that science fiction mpreg that I started a few weeks ago, and I am officially a new cousin (my newest cousin was born this morning, and I found out about 25 minutes ago).
