^ Hope your dinner was worth waiting for!

It will be nice to see a new town and just relax for a few days. ^_^ It's actually the town my godmother is from. So she'll give us some insider tips as well. :)

***

Just finished cleaning up the house and preparing some food and snacks. Father Pierre is coming over for dinner. :bounce:

I have a meeting with colleagues tonight, where we have to plan all the stuff in church from October until Christmas. :sped: Who's on duty when and so on.

^ Just a quick, simple dinner - but good! Looking forward to seeing your pics :)

Preparing my lunch for tomorrow's work. Yes, and will soon have my dinner. I'm putting on an Oktoberfest luncheon at work (for the clients - and family/guests they invite - and staff). I've planned and organised everything from the ground up and am nervous! I want everything to be perfect! Shout out to Colette who sent me some authentic Oktoberfest decorations :)
I'll chat with the cook tomorrow - to clear up any questions he might have about cooking the food; and will assign afternoon staff "decoration duties". Oh, I hope they don't mind  It's going to be BIG (I hope!) - and like no other event to date! Wish me luck, please!

^yup, fingers crossed :rrflag:

I'm getting ready to go downtown for the kind og farmers market that is arrangere on a town square. Its a new thing, so not that many sellers yet. But better support it - otherwise it will never grow bigger, I guess. :)

I also need to think a bit more about my work situation.

And maybe maybe think about taking a trip abroad. On my own. First time for Real.
Probably just to ye old Capital of Germany :D or maybe another german City. I have grown quite fond of Germany the last years. Plus Its so close to Denmark.

Traveling on your own is nicer than you think at first. I've travelled by train many places on my own, Denmark, Sweden, but I didn't want to fly anywhere on my own at first. I just found airports to be too much stress. But then I flew from Sweden to Berlin for a week on my own and it was no problem. And I have basically no short term memory and a balance problem. You'll do just fine.

There are so many places in Germany I want to visit. Schwerin is a place we ho back to now and then, so charming and beautiful and great restaurants. And of course Pfalz has a very special place in my heart. The wine regions, the forests and old towns there are just amazing.

I'm going to Düsseldorf in October. I'm curious to see what it's like. My godfather says only the old time is charming, but that it's a great place.

I'd love to visit my friend in Cologne again, go Freyburg in the south and Wolgast, the little town on the Baltic sea where my mother was born. Germany has so many beautiful towns.

In France I'd only like to visit Colmar and Strasbourg, which both look a lot like southern Germany.

^ I have a very good friend in Cologne that I visited a few years ago. Only saw a little bit of the city, visited the giant Cathedral of course and went to a museum. Cologne has some amazing museums, Roman-Germanic one next to the Cathedral and Museum Ludwig, which has one of the biggest Picasso collections. The old town along the water is very charming and beautiful. The rest of city is a bit ugly and lots of stress. Not at all like Berlin. But it's a younger scene, lots of cafés, make sure to drink some Kölsch.

***

Just got back from Sunday mass with the archbishop. I love when he celebrates, he is always very good and so kind and sweet. ^_^

I have another appointment in a few hours, other end of town. Not so much fun. :sped:

Hoping the evening will be nice and calm.

And for all who think the Catholic church is just super strict and boring, here is my boss the archbishop of Berlin, drinking beer after he felt he had celebrated enough masses in one day. He sent in the other bishop.

^ah neat with the Picasso-collection. I Would def. check that out! Yeah I walked past the huge church. So amazing and so so so big. I only did the walk from the train station to the close by hotel and from there over the bridge to the mess halls for a fitness convention. Oh No wait, walked a bit downtown in some old parts to a hotel for a meeting.

...

Looks like a cosy way to spend a Sunday morning :)

.....

Now i finshed the dishes and planning to shop a bit to Make "Snurrer" - a kind og braided bun - with some left over spinach, feta cheese, pesto and more. Never made it, But looks pretty easy.

Had a super busy but fun weekend as well. Work, birthday dinner, travel all over Berlin and meet lots of people... Today I was totally exhausted and slept half the day. But it was a good day anyway.

Right now I'm going through some photos and listening to my husband playing clarinet. I like hearing him practise. It's a pleasant sound. ^_^
