^At least it's not one of those terrifyingly giant spiders you find in Australia! I try to catch them and take them outside...before my cats find it...

Waiting for my lunch to cook.
Trying to "ignore" my dog (just fed him and it looks like he wants a treat).
Contemplating how things are (and will continue to) change at work. We've had 3 FT staff leave/transfer already and one more will soon transfer. I'll miss her! :(
Caving in - Bob my dog WILL get his treat!

@kirse: :rolling: exactly how I feel in a case like that. Only thing worse than a spider in the house is when it gets away and hides somewhere in your house, just waiting to come out and crawl on you...

***

I'm on the very early morning train to Mannheim. Switching there to go Neustadt and then off to Esthal with the bus. The little village near the French border where our friend Arnaud grew up. We will be sleeping at a cloister tonight. ^_^
One week vacation in Pfalz! :yay: :cham2:

Arnaud went to bed by the time we left for the train station.

Relaxing in front of my computer. Got my running around done - so I can relax for a bit now :) I'm really grateful the hellish heat & humidity have gone. Now we have our usual (and generally bearable) Summer temps.

YES! I finally managed to upload another avatar... :yay: :cham2: :rolling: Thank you Postimage.

It's been so long since I had to upload an avatar, that it took me a little while to figure it out.

I also started uploading pics from our trip to Pfalz in the photo section. There will be more photos, I just have to chose which ones to upload. So I'm going through my albums at the moment. :)

My husband and I where out at a restaurant last night and talked to some friends who work there. As we were talking, Till suddenly walked in. Noone reacted. Till didn't stay long, he just sat down to talk to someone for a while then left again.
My friend who works in the bar once went over and poked Till in the shoulder, then told him "Till, finish your wine and get out." Till nodded and did as he was told.

A few days before I went on vacation, Paul Landers walked past me on the street near m house. He looked at me a few times and then kept looking as he passed me. Maybe he recognized me from before.

I've just been singing so much that I almost don't have a voice any more. All raspy now. I'm no singer really, but I'm pretty okay at reading music and singing through some hymns in church. I often help visiting priests pick hymns for the services, since I know which ones my congregation know. Today I suggested a song to our new priest and he asked me to help him pick songs for the holy mass during the weekdays. He's from Ivory coast, so not totally familiar with the German hymns. I'm glad he trusts me with this duty. :) The hymns are an important part of the liturgy.

I'm also happy about our new stuff that arrived today. :eee: We ordered some stuff from Pfalz for our home and I love the wooden tea light holders especially. ^_^

Can't sleep quite yet, I've had sleeping problems again the past few days  , so I'll clean up in the flat a bit. I'm planning a cosy reading corner in our guest room - which is also my yoga room.

Just voted for Rammstein in the Loudwire-poll for "most dedicated fan base". You can vote once an hour - so better get at it  loudwireawards.com/vote

^ It WAS a terrible experience! On the GOOD side critical thinking and not acting rashly in desperation won out - I didn't give the a**holes access to my computer. When I was picking up my (now cleaned up) comp, the computer shop's owner discretely pointed to a dejected looking customer and quietly said "It's lucky you didn't give them access to your computer - like he did." My heart went out to him!

I had to hand in my computer to get rid of stuff like that once too. Not fun, but like you said, could have been worse. :sped:

Just finished writing some cards and wrapping up gifts. Getting ready to go to the market and later we are going to a wedding. :bounce: :cham2: Two of our friends from church are getting married today. I will do the reading and our good friend Father Pierre does the ceremony. We get to work together one last time, tomorrow is his official goodbye. I'm going to cry.

Just got back from the café in my building. Calm evening with my husband. We drank some Aperol Spritz and warm apple juice with mint while planning a few things for our trip to Düsseldorf. That will be our next vacation in October. :bounce: Drink Altbier in Düsseldorf  , visit museums, eat, drink and walk around in the old town centre and take a boat tour on the Rhine, even though I hate both boats and water.

Going for a walk now, it's a really nice night, then some yoga and reading.
