^ Remember, if you plan a stop in Berlin, I have a huge guestroom big enough for several people. And I live right down town.

Getting ready for church. I always do the readings on Monday. Also planning a bit for the rest of the week, it will be busy. Husband and I are also planning another little trip to Schwerin at the end of the month. :bounce: Schwerin is such a beautiful and cosy town. ^_^ I was there in December and have been longing to go back.

^ Yay, have fun! And let me know if you want to meet up.

Just got home from church... it's been a long day. Easter has many different celebrations and today we were there for many hours, but it was beautiful and we also had some time to drink wine with our priests. The next few days will be busy.

^ We'll try. But previous experience has taught me that drinking with Scandinavians always ends the same way. :cham2: :cham2: :cham2: :cham2: :cham2: :P

***

Even at church last night we had a few glasses of wine after a long day and very long service. The priest and me could definitely feel it when we got up again and we looked at each other like "Okay, that's enough...."

Today we are pretty strict on not eating or celebrating, since it's Good Friday. I will go to the church in the afternoon and it's going to be a very quiet and calm the rest of the day. The Good Friday Mass is actually pretty demanding, it's much longer and you kneel and stand up so many times after not eating all day, it actually makes you a bit dizzy. But it's supposed to be a bit hard on you this day.

Going to go for a walk before then and enjoy the fairly warm and sunny spring weather.

^ I Love wine, but you'd be lucky if the Scandinavians stick to wine, usually it's harder stuff. Like the times I've been out with ReiseReise... "We'll just have two" and suddenly there were 14 glasses standing on the table. :rolling:

Got home from church just a little while ago. The celebration in the Easter night is really special. A friend of mine and a young man from our congregation was being baptized and the whole mass was really beautiful. Walking in to the dark church, lighting the candles, the lights coming on and the organ playing after a while, the priest singing the liturgy and then the party afterwards with priests and congregation. Just lovely. Pretty tired now.

It was funny, during the mass the priest blessed everyone with holy water and when he got to me, this naughty grin appeared on his face and he just SPLASHED me with like half a glass of water and looked so d*mn proud of himself. :rolling: Everyone laughed and said he knew he could do that to me, because I know him and work there. They think it's fun.

I better go to bed, because tomorrow I do my first reading as official reader for Sundays and other special celebrations in the church (usually I only do the reading during the week). A little bit nervous, but it will be great. Then off to eat asparagus at our favourite restaurant.

It's asparagus season in Berlin, then you eat white asparagus from Beelitz. It's served at every restaurant in Berlin right now.

^ Happy Easter!

Just going to get a coffee, then finish watching a movie I'd started last night on Netflix. This is the second of two days in a row I've done some garden work, and I can already feel the aches beginning from the workout. Today I cut down one of the parts of a holly tree that had grown too big. I did it all with a manual saw too! Advil was my friend yesterday, and so it will be again now!
