I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas!

Life goes on as usual in Berlin.

I haven't even turned on the computer in a few days... there is no time to sit down at my desk.

I had calm and lovely Christmas. I spent Christmas eve with our best friends in Berlin, had a simple dinner together and listened to a Christmas record with Die Toten Hosen. Then we went to the cabaret together and watched my friend who is a singer.
Spent a lot of time at Church and got to meet the Archbishop. He just came over and said hi and wished me a happy Christmas.
I have so many bad memories of Christmas, it's nice to get some new happy ones.

Two days before Christmas my friend and I went and got far too drunk, stayed out until the morning, got lost in Prenzlauer Berg and I left my scarf in the bar (I got it back, but it smells like an ashtray now :brr: ). I don't like getting drunk and my friend had to work the next day, I guess we should have known better but... who cares. We had fun anyway.

Today Richard Kruspe and his family where sitting 2 tables away from us at a restaurant. Richard discovered the R+ pin on my husbands collar and came over and pointed at it. My husband just said "Hi, Richard." We didn't talk more, we just said hi. It's kind of funny how it's become totally normal to run into your favourite rockstars all the time. When we left, Richard and Margaux were outside and my husband said "Happy Chanukka!" to them. They both smiled, waved at us and wished us the same thing.

Random Rammstein things in Berlin.

A friend of mine will get Till to sign his books for me. I am quite overjoyed. :o :bounce: :yay: He said I could be there as well, but I think I'll just let him deal with it it.

I've been really tired lately and dealing with pain. I have arthritis and it's really bad at the moment. I think it's because of the weather, stress and not enough sleep. I think it will get better.

Also thinking how I don't look forward to New Years eve at all. :sped: I don't like it.

Take care over the holidays all of you! I wish you all a very happy new year!  :cham2:

^ Glad you're ok! All the best to you :) And aw, heck - if I had the chance to meet Till, I'd go. Maybe reconsider?

^

I'm thinking about it.
I have met Till and talked to him a few times, he's very kind and calm and soft spoken - and actually interested in things you say as well.
(Then there's that time I sat next to him for like 20 minutes, without noticing it was him until he got up. )
I just wouldn't know what to talk about. It all depends on the context when you met them.
Meeting Till is still special.

***

New years eve in Berlin has begun... you hear loud bangs and fireworks everywhere. This will continue for about 2,5 days. It's the second biggest celebration in the world and it's just crazy. I'm staying inside.

^ That you shouldn't worry about. :) When you run into them somewhere, then it's much easier to be spontaneous. Just be calm, introduce yourself and be polite. I always addressed them with their last name and shook hands with them. Till told us to call him Till when my husband and I talked to him for a while. They're always very calm and friendly and believe me, they are used to nervous fans. When ReiseReise and I met Paul, the barman poured us two shots and gave them to us for free. He knew we needed to calm our nerves a bit.
Also, their friends, staff and other people who know them, they notice how you behave around them and they talk about it with each other.

@tillsgurl: the first couple of times I was just lucky, but now I live in Berlin, in their end of town, we go to the same places and know the same people. I hang out with Till's friends and some people who work with them. I don't ask for favours and that's why they like me. Lately I've been invited to different events, like the afterparty and the football.

I usually just say hi and then leave them alone. If there would be an occasion to talk about something then I would. And I definitely don't ask for a photo every time I see them, that would be silly, since I see them and their friends and family pretty often in this town.

A few events I was invited to but didn't go, because I don't really know them and would just feel like I'm crashing the party.
That's why I'm hesitating now as well. Actually being there while Till is talking to a friend is completely different than just saying hi.

The first time some friends of R+ were in my flat, it took 5 minutes before management was on the phone with one of them and invited me to the afterparty.

The other day I read the most perfect description of my friend: "an older guy with an average of 8 words and 2 facial expressions a week" :rolling: Yup!
