Hey everyone,
just wanted to ask if there are any other fans of Mulder & Scully out there?
I've always been a big fan of the series and the actors, now I bought seasons 1-3 on dvd and
enjoy watching them again :)
So if there are any other X-Files maniacs out there, let me know ;)

Loved X -files, it kind went a bit weird after a while but it was a great show. If you like X-files you might like Supernatural.

*Holds up hand* I loved that show - but Jess is right - toward the end, it just wasn't the same. They allowed the show to run too long, sadly.

Who's your favorite villain on X-Files? Favorite top 3 episodes?

Loved X-Files series too. But the movies... not that much.
My favourite villain: the smoking man of course. I wonder how I didn't quit smoking the time X Files were on TV, cause seeing him smoking always made me feel guilty I was smoking too. :D (I'm not anymore)

^Beekay: You're right, I really didn't like season 9, X-Files without Mulder?? NOOO!!
Doggett was ok, but it just wasn't the same. And did you see the last episode, "The Truth"??
I was so disappointed! They should have stopped filming after season 8. I think "Existence", the final episode of season 8,
was a worthy end, when Mulder and Scully had their son...
Besides the main characters my favourit role was/is Alex Krycek :) And the Lone Gunmen! They were always so weird^^
I didn't like Diana Fowley.
Uff it's hard to say which episodes I like most...hm... let's try:
-Season 1: "Squeeze"/"Tooms"; "The Erlenmeyer Flask"
-Season 2: "Ascension/One Breath" (Two of the best episodes ever); "Dod Kalm"
-Season 3: "Piper Maru"/"Apocrypha"; "Nisei"
-Season 4: "Tunguska"/"Memento Mori"; "Leonard Betts"
-Season 5: "Redux"/"Emily"
-Season 6: "Two fathers"/"One son"
-Season 7: "Closure"
-Season 8: "Existence "
-Season 9: ? Don't know...

So what about yours?

The Cigarette-Smoking Man was always my favourite character. To me, there's nothing better than an ambiguous villain with a long, detailed history who spends most of his time pulling the strings in the background. Unfortunately, his character arc kind of petered off later in the series, and I wasn't too fond of his fate. But I did like how, instead of the emotionless "Men-in-Black" route, he was portrayed as having actual personality.

Naturally, then, my favourite episode is "Musings of a Cigarette-Smoking Man". "Jose Chung's 'From Outer Space'" is a close second.

I love the X-Files. During dinner we'd have the television turned to catch the latest episode. I've got seasons 1-5, and they're worth every penny (though they weren't really all that expensive).

Let's see, favourite episodes are...

Season 1: Darkness Falls, The Jersey Devil, Tooms
Season 2: Blood, Red Museum, Fresh Bones
Season 3: Piper Maru, Grotesque, D.P.O.
Season 4: Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man, Herrenvolk, Home (best, and creepiest episode, to me)
Season 5: Unusual Suspects, The Post-Modern Prometheus, Schizogeny

My absolute favourite has to be X-Cops, though.

Is there someone here who found "Home" to be possibly THE most disturbing show they did? *shudders*

^yeeeesss!! 'home' was so creepy! I remember when I first saw this episode, I was in hospital and shared my room with an old woman ( she was about 75 years old) and she was so shocked, after the end she always repeated "I didn't know that such things exist, no, such things can't exist, how can that be true..." and I had to explain her that it was just fiction, because she misunderstood the series, she thought it was kind of a documentary...that poor old woman, her first contact with the X-Files had to be a shock for her. Just imagine, such things would really happen! I wouldn't dare going out my house any more^^
There are so many funny things I remember in connection with the X-Files.
When I had my first English-Class at school, the teacher asked us what we wanted to be in the future, the other kids said "veterinary", "fire fighter" and so on, and I said, "Miss, how do I spell 'special agent of the FBI'? :bounce:

^ OH that POOR lady! (That might have given her a heart attack!).

There was an episode - I'm not at all sure of the story's title - but it involved the "Black Cancer". This was a black, oil-like substance - and *could* have been the story title. I don't right off recall the full story but it had bad guy Krycek in it. And I remember an especially creepy scene that showed people - held down and immobile by chicken wire - being used as test subjects. The "Black Cancer" was dripped over them, going into their eyes, etc. I may not be remembering 100% correctly, but I *do* remember how creeped out I was!

And I found this - a seasonal list of all episodes: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106179/episodes
:D

^could it be that you mean "Piper Maru"? It's an episode of season 3 and the first time the "black cancer" appears.
I like all episodes with Krycek, because...uhm... :fire: ;)

^ Could be! I really hate when you *know* (and were totally creeped out by) the scene - but darn if you can recall the episode that it appeared in.
My flu-clogged memory seems to recall that the scene was supposed to have been somewhere in Russia - and that the name "Tunguska" (or something like it) may have been the title of the episode. Does this ring any bells for you?

And yes, Alex Krycek WAS a very  villain!

Another pondering: Who do you think Mulder's father really is? My bet is on the Cigarette Smoking Man.

^ I think you're right, it must be Tunguska. Yesterday I watched "Piper Maru"/"Apocrypha", and it was the first time the black cancer appeared, but it didn't include the scene you mentioned. What really annoys me everytime I hear it is Kryceks german synchrone voice. It doesn't fit to him at all. Such a good looking guy and than that voice! Terrible!

And yes, I always thought the CSM would be Mulder's father, too.

I really had to laugh when I saw the making-of a scene where the black oil ran out one's mouth, because at first they used some magnetic fluid, which seemed to "jump", and that didn't look creepy at all, just incredible funny ;)

for you BeeKay, a very nice shot of our favourit villain:

Image :fire: (what a shame he grew old.)

^ Nice pic 8) (Why do we all like the bad boys so much?)

Yes...I'm pretty sure he's Mulder's father. I think that's the only reason that CSM never killed him.

I never did see that "Making Of..." It must have been interesting!
