Since I couldn't find a thread about German Actors, I figured I'd start one myself!
Who are your favourite German actors? 8)
Here's the place to post pictures and discuss your favourite films of theirs!

As for me, right now, I'm in love with Thomas Kretschmann. For obvious reasons:

You might remember him as Fegelein from Der Untergang (Downfall), or the DASHING and HEROIC Captain Englehorn from King Kong:

Whenever I see him in a film, I go into total swoon mode :eee: :heart: :eee: :heart:
I can't help it. :X

Thank you for posting that thread! :D
Now I can mention something about Franka Potente - German actress. She was totally aces in "Lola Rennt" film. Brilliant acting, very convincing and dynamic. If you havent' seen that film yet I recommend it to you!
Tom Tykwer has earned a ton of rewards for that production, absolutely deserved;)

Franka Potente was also in a really cool horror movie called Anatomie. Very creepy and loosely based on Gunther von Hagen's Bodyworlds exhibitions

@Iroto check it out if you like horror movies - she is awesome in it

@AnzaBabes93:
His eyes are amazing. And no, I haven't seen What A Man yet! Isn't it a German TV movie? That would make it über-hard to find it here in Canaduh. :um:
Thomas looked particularly stunning in The Pianist, too.

@ Paprika: Is it just me who see this, or does Kretschmann also remind you of our Sch (esp. around the eyes) - particularly in that first pic you posted?

@Beekay Oh wow, I never actually noticed, but now that you mention it... It's true! I think it's got something to do with Schneider's pale eyebrows (and gorgeous blue eyes of course)!

@paprika; no, it's a full length cinema film :) I can't seen to find a region 1 DVD copy of it on Amazon or anything though :um:

@AnzaBabes93 Really? Is it good? :3 What's it about, anyway? I saw a little making-of interview about it on youtube, but that's it. This part killed me, that lucky interviewer chick!!:

Juergen Vogel. I discovered him in the film "Die Welle". Very particular face, can play disquieting misfits and loving sweeties, even at the same time :o
