I know we've got a few Dr. Who fans here, so why not share some thoughts on why you love this show? How did you get hooked?

Did you know that a stamp has been issued to commemorate the 50th anniversary? http://www.cbc.ca/news/arts/story/2013/ ... tamps.html

I couldn't help but get hooked to it about two months ago. I'm watching David Tennant's last season before he regenerates. Perhaps if I ever have time I will watch Doctors 1-8 as well. It's worth it!

Don't blink,
Don't even blink.

I admit I was apprehensive when Matt Smith took on the role after David Tennant especially as he was so young but he hasn't done badly at all IMO.

(Still miss David Tennant though)

^I used to hide behind the sofa too! :D It wasn't because of Davros though, it was the disappearing faces in the intro that freaked me out

Yeah, Matt is much better than I thought he'd be, but David.....ooooh David....especially in the episode where he used his real accent  :fire: And John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness. Wish he'd used his real accent for that too. It's sooo :eee: :eee: :eee: hearing him talk like that. :) Possibly a little biased there since it's also my accent

^ Don't get me started with David and Captain Jack, as I'd mention that to mum, because if there's one thing she loves it's running in long coats and both David and Captain Jack did it. Shame that Captain Jack wasn't written into any of the stories that have Matt in, as they'd make a fab team. Prediction-wise, I think the next doctor will be a woman. Either way, it's gotta be someone with ginger hair (as stated in the doctor-crossover episodes where no10 became no11)

I just got into Doctor Who within the last year. I started with the ninth, then trolled Netflix to try and find the other older Doctors. So far, of the older ones; Tom Baker and Jon Pertwee are my favorites. Of the new Doctors, David Tennant for the win. I'm having a tat designed to honor his Doctor. I'm just glad they finally got rid of the Ponds. We were starting to have a Rose Tyler situation on our hands.
