Das Sakrament der Firmung by Anselm Grün, a Benedictine monk.

Catechism of the Catholic Church, articles 1285 to 1317, The Sacrament of Confirmation.

Preparing for my confirmation. Very interesting stuff actually.

^ That's a really good book. I read it in German, Jeder stirbt für sich allein. It's sad and cruel, but that was everyday life back then. I live not far from the house where the main characters live, Jablonskistrasse 55. It's a block or two away. (Not sure if the original house is still there, but the address still exists.)

Pfalz - Wo Frankreich nahe ist and Pfalz Reiseführer

Pfalz is a part of Germany, in the south, near France and known mainly for growing wine. I like to visit vineyards and try wine and a friend is from Pfalz, so my husband and I planning a visit there. A very beautiful and interesting place and I've wanted to go there before.
