"The Cabin in the Woods." I just thought it was dumb and a total waste of an hour and 45 minutes. I guess the first half of the movie was ok, but the last half was just too bizarre for me.

Grave Encounters, it's kind of like Paranormal activity and Blair witch, about a film crew trapped in a haunted asylum. :? :?

Amélie, that French film about the young waitress who wants to help the people around her and change her own life.

I had never seen it but people kept telling me it was one of those films I just had to see. And it seemed like a cute, cosy little French film so why not.
I hated it. I want those hours of my life back.
I know lots of people simply love this film, but the whole thing just really rubbed me the wrong way. I thought it was childish and stupid in a really not funny way. Then I got really annoyed by the complicated way she tries to get in contact with ethe guy she has a crush on. JUST TALK TO EACH OTHER :x: :x: :x: !!! I don't find that stuff at all romantic.

Yeah, not my kind of film.

^ I've seen ''Amélie'' a few years after the big thing and also thought it wasn't as special as other people said...

Other half and I are just watching Enders Game...Errrr what is this pile of :x: I love Scifi but this is just ghastly. How to groom an obnoxious little boy in to a complete psycho and give him a god complex in six easy steps...he needs a good slapping, not praising! :headwall:

The Book Thief.

I even like a lot of movies that take place during WW2 and I also like films where not much happens, but this... NOTHING happened. It was so boring and historical events that were supposed to leave some kind of impression on you or give you the creeps was more like: "Oh, look, another nazi... :um: " There was no excitement at all, the whole thing the film was about, this girl stealing books that were supposed to be burnt was presented as nothing special at all, death narrating the sory just made it ridicolous and the fake German accents annoyed me. Bad acting too. After 35 minutes I fast forwarded through large parts of it to be ablte to watch it at all. Disappointed!

Can't say I was a fan of Iron Man 3 or Avengers 2 and I'm a big Iron Man fan.

^ I have to admit, I wasn't a huge fan of Deadpool either. I love Ryan Reynolds and he was great in the movie, but it was just a bit lackluster. Might have been due to the limited budget they had compared to other comic book movies. There was just something about it I couldn't quite put my finger on.

Also, just about any Steven Seagal movie is awful for me. I cannot stand that man! :headwall: :headwall: :headwall: :headwall: :headwall:

The Secret Life of Pets. I was invited by a girlfriend of mine, and am quite happy she paid because the first 5 minutes or so was 99% identical to the trailer, and I wouldn't have minded if most of the movie followed that story. But, nope... It didn't. It went into this pets go on an adventure, a highly unlikely adventure in NYC.

I don't watch many feature movies as of late because most of them seem to be very boring. Horror movies which I used to be into just became the same old dumb movie with really weak scripts, or something totally implausible. I think that the best one I've seen so far was Insidious, and the first, not the second. Then there's the other movie about a cabin by Joss Whedon which I thought was edging on brilliant. Sadly most people seem to find intelligently done movies dumb.
