Next week I'm buying tickets for my friend Danielle & I to go see Rob Zombie. I am super stoked about it! I've been wanting to see him in concert for several years now. There's a bunch of other bands playing as well, but the only one I've heard of is Stone Sour.

Last week I've been to the very last concert of Boudewijn de Groot... hehehehe protest singer/troubadour in my youth and still going strong though he turned 70 last week. But all in Dutch so probably only famous here

I loved Billy Idol when I was a teen-ager, I still watch his video very willingly :kitty: I'm not sure I would buy his book though since I understand 98% of this kind of books are written by ghostwriters. Of course not everybody has talent for writing, but publishing a book this way is still something that annoys me.

Think he wrote it himself but I'm not sure. Love the books of Nikki Sixx and Duff :)

@Nina: guess what, I was also at that Metallica concert and I agree, it was awesome, and I was so happy to see them live! I really liked their light show during One and I loved them playing Nothing Else Matters, so great! :)

Looks like me and mum have yet another gig sorted, as Lulo Reinhardt (Django's grandson) will be in Findhorn on October 15th.

^^ Last time I was at a Beatles tribute was 1999/2000. They were called Hard Day's Night, and I saw them 3 times in a week and every day in between (they were staying at mum's house). Drummer that they featured (and who also stayed at mum's) was Pete Best (the original Beatle).

I have no idea what gigs I might be going to next, but there are some that I'd like to go to (all kinda local).

^ I think I've heard of them. I had seen Rain once before and made some friends so I got to see one of them again and it was really nice. I cried when the show started, it's a very emotional thing for me, to see "The Beatles" all together and these guys are about as close as you are gonna get for an authentic experience.

I didn't even cry when I saw Paul McCartney and I he is my favorite Beatle, and my favorite solo musician. I like him almost more that Paul Landers but not quite. (I might cry after meeting Paul Landers....)

^ If you think that's the closest, then you should have been there when Hard Day's Night played at the Cavern (note that I come from Liverpool and my mum was actually there when Paul and John met), as that would be/was the Mecca for Beatles tribute bands/fans. As for getting emotional, I was when I saw and met Marty Stuart & his Fabulous Superlatives, which was a dream come true (was in 2011) as I got to meet one of my most favorite musicians of all time, and it makes me emotional to this day. Hope to go and see them again, but it will be with their new bassist (Chris Scruggs), and if I can get the chance to go and see the Martin Family Circus, I would take it without hesitation because I love them and Paul (Martin) will always have a place in my heart.
